Its the end of Feburary and we're still getting buried in snow. Today I drove in a white out.. very difficult to see the road..

Time for some color!!

This winter I'm teaching a gouache painting class.We started out by mixing colors, making color charts, and
and experimenting with different tecniques. So much fun! The class will also run in the spring.

This chart shows watercolor blooms...
sort of a wet in wet technique when the water backs up and drys in a flower or cloud shape.

The last chart, (below), shows a layering technque called glazing. When light bounces off the paper through each layer, it has a stained-glass feeling.... very luminous and beautiful..
